FTDI FT-X Chip Series Interface ICs & Modules target a wide range of interfaces, including basic and full UART. The FT-X ICs also include FIFO, I2C, and SPI allowing engineers to easily incorporate USB connectivity into their systems. FT-X-Chip Interface ICs are USB 2.0 full-speed chips which join the USB 2.0 high-speed, H-Series of devices and popular R-Series of ICs. Besides offering an expanded, world-class feature set, these FTDI FT-X-Chip Series Interface ICs offer reduced pin counts. For the leaded, SSOP or a leadless QFN package, pin-outs have been minimized. The package ranges from 10-pin DFN package for the FT200XD I2C solution to 24-pins for a FIFO to USB bridge. The FT-X-Chip Series Modules help engineers integrate FTDI's FT-X-Chip Series Interface ICs into new and existing designs. Note: The FT-X series requires a minimum driver version of 2.08.23(Beta) for Windows and 2.2.17 for Mac OS X.
